James Entwistle(U.S Ambassador to Nigeria) and Sanusi Lamido Sanusi (Emir of Kano)

The U.S. Ambassador to Nigeria, James Entwistle, on Tuesday visited the Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi II, in his palace in Kano.

Mr. Entwistle congratulated the Emir on behalf of himself and the American people. He said he believed the new Emir is capable of uniting the people of Kano and Nigeria as a whole.

Emir Sanusi expressed his gratitude to Mr. Entwistle and the U.S. Government for the visit.
The Emir also stated that he would do his best to unite the people of Kano and Nigerians.
The two men then went into a closed-door meeting.
